Baby, it's COLD outside!

Brrrrrrrr! Gone are the long days with the sun high in the sky. The sun doesn't shine as much here and the only way we are breaking a sweat these days is if the heat is turned up too high or we've put too many layers on to go outside!

But...we are thoroughly enjoying the cold and the snow. There is nothing like sitting inside of a warm house, sipping hot tea or cocoa, and watching the fat fluffly flakes fall outside.

Of course, we are spending some time outside in the cold as well.

The boys LOVE the snow. Tubing is their recent favorite. Saturday we spent the day at my parent's house tubing down the hills, making a snowman and throwing snow balls!

Samantha watched from the window at first and was excited to join us when I came in to get her but after her first run down the hill, she wasn't very excited any more. I just plopped her down in the snow and after a while she stopped crying.

Then Grampa came and sat by her and taught her how to make and throw a snowball. She was happy after that.

So, while the snow lasts we will continue to get the kids out and in it as much as we can before we hit the road for the month of March!
