Mama's Back

As Dan entered his classroom more than 15 minutes late, his classmates applauded him.
"Well, I got all five of them ready and dropped off,"  he announced.
"Yeah, but did you drop them off where you were supposed to this morning?" came the reply from a classmate.

And so has been my husband's life over the past five days while I was unexpectedly in the hospital with acute pancreatisis.  Just yesterday I was able to go into surgery and have my gall bladder removed.  This evening I am back with my family.  We praise the Lord for all the amazing prayer support our family has received and can only account the imflamation of my pancreas going down so quickly, completing surgery without any complications, and then being able to come home before the week was over to those powerful prayers.  The Body of Christ is truly an amazing thing to be a part of.  Not only were we covered in prayer all around the world but once again our family here at RGBI went above and beyond to take care of all five of the kids and Dan too with meals and child care and even laundry.  We are humbled and extremely grateful and praise God for His provision and pray hopefully that since this is the second time in two months I've been in the hospital (first time when Judah was born) that it will be a long time before we experience something like this again.  May we be able to bless someone else instead!!

I can't tell you how hard it was to be away from the family, especially nursing Judah.  I have never had to leave any of my children at such a young age and it was a challenge.  Thankfully he took to formula OK and I was able to keep up my milk supply but it made my cry alot.  God reminded me that He is enough.  He took everything away from me that I could find an identity in (the children were not allowed in the hospital) and reminded me that my identity rests in being a child of God; nothing else.
