Here is a small glimpse of the SIM Paraguay team we serve with, specifically the San Francisco (our new town) team. Tony & Jean Floyd (w/their three boys Daniel, Luke & David), us and Jeff & Amy McKissick(Ryan, Ginny, Josh, Tyler, Micah & Julia). The Floyds were the pioneer missionaries in this town and were instrumental in the forming of the church plant. They have since moved to another town about an hour away to start another church plant but are still very much a part of team San Francisco. The McKissicks have a medical ministry and Jeff operates a free mobile clinic at their house every week day morning they are in town. They live about six blocks from us and it is great having teammates with lots of kids like us! We actually studied Guarani with Jeff & Amy our first year here in 2006. Who would've thought we'd be living in the same community together six years later?!?! So cool.
Earlier this week we all went camping at Camping Ybytyrusu. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast. More pictures to come.
But, more importantly, PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR SATURDAY, MAY 26TH.
There is a huge team, along with other teammates and local believers, gathering early in the morning to distribute 1,000 Audio Bibles here in San Francisco and neighboring communities. Please pray for good contacts, for the Word to be spread and minds to be opened and hearts ready to receive the good news of Jesus Christ! May God use this outreach to further HIS kingdom here in Paraguay!
