Mommy Monday

What a day!!
The children are all in bed and asleep (although baby will wake up soon).
Right now it is pouring and my husband is running around outside with our teammate and his teenage son and local Paraguayan friends playing AirSoft.  Don't ask me why.  I don't understand boys and there are five them in my house!
Our black dog Pemberley, half lab and half we don't know what, keeps digging her way out of our fenced in yard and we are not sure what to do with her.
Our education vacation is over.  Today we started up lessons again and I think we finally finished around 5 pm.  It was that kind of day as we slowly started and took lots of breaks.
So thankful for cooler weather.

I love how all the kids want to give Haley kisses and check on her throughout the day.  They sing to her and read her books.  This morning Toby was reading to her a Berenstein Bears book about a new baby.  She just looked at him the whole time.  His reading has really taken off and he was a great student today.

Sammie made my day when she yelled with excitement that we were doing school and then almost cried b/c I told her she didn't have to finish the dishes tonight.  Wow.  Eli had a rougher start as did Judah and Silas who struggled not having their older siblings to play with.

And then of course is the baby.  Happy Haley who is now smiling and cooing, almost laughing!  We have a lovely little chit chat every evening after all the other kids have gone to bed.  So precious.  I loved how she turned toward Dan when she heard him talking at church Sunday.  She knows her daddy's voice!!  I can't help but love the way she stops crying when she hears my voice too!
