Normally on a Wednesday evening Dan would have met with a young guy named Tito and if we weren't in the city right now, on a Thursday evening he would have gone to prayer meeting at 6 pm and then met with Tito (if for some reason he didn't meet with him on Wednesday) and/or another young man named Olimpio.
Well, we are in the city so Dan didn't meet with either of these guys this week but we thought we'd share them with you anyway :).

This is Tito. Dan had the awesome privilege of praying with him as he entered the kingdom of Christ last year. Shortly after his confession however, Tito had to move five hours away because of work. That was a rocky year for Tito with no Christian friends and no church attendance. Whenever he was in our town visiting his family, he would stop in and read and pray with Dan and be encouraged. He is now in Caazapa and meets with Dan regularly and enthusiastically.

And this is Olimpio with two friends he has been witnessing to at the university. He is the son of an elder in the neighboring town where our teammates the Floyds and McKissicks are working. He goes home every weekend to attend church with his family but lives in Caazapa during the week as he goes to the Veterinary School. Tito had invited him along one evening to join him with Dan and shortly after that Olimpio asked if he could meet with Dan and bring along a few friends.
This is what gets us excited. This is what gets me especially excited as I watch Dan sit with these guys doing what he does best: hanging out and teaching the important truths of the Bible. I know that this is where Dan's passion lies and it gives me great pleasure as his wife when I see him in this role.
