Rain nor snow stopped these dads from taking out their eldest children Friday night. Having already cancelled from the weekend before, Dan and Aaron were not about to let the weather keep them from their adventure this time!
So while it rained outside, I went shopping inside with my mom and sister! This was Eli and Micah's first 24 hour backpacking adventure. Even though it was cold and very wet (and there happened to be a bear trap 100 yards away from their tent b/c one was on the loose but no worries!), they all said they had a great time. The boys were tough and actually did amazingly well on the five mile hike out, so well that they got back 1 1/2 hours earlier than planned.
How's that for a first big hike!
Glad that the boys are getting out and enjoying the spring weather. I am sure it was a great adventure.
