My Red Letter Day

Last Friday, June 29th, was my 35th birthday.
I figure if the Lord blesses me with another 35, then I had a pretty wonderful start to the next half of my life as He filled my day with PEACE and LOVE and FUN,
something only He knew how much I needed.

Highlights?  Sleeping in and snuggling with Sammie & Silas (I feel like they get a bit more neglected during the times when I'm working hard on school with E & T), ordering lunch (oh, how wonderful it was to not have to fix lunch), doing nothing but hanging with the family (ran out of laundry detergent so had to not do laundry), just sitting and talking with my hubby, homemade donuts from teammate Amy along with the birthday song from the TIME students, pizza w/ Coke, my husband's famous ice cream cake (it is tradition now that he always makes me an ice cream cake for my birthday, although he reminded me that this was my San Francisco cake and wouldn't be like the one from last year in the States...ummm...it was delicious and see the pretty flower he made on top too?  He's pretty great like that.).

Then, to top it all off, Amy came over after dinner with two TIME students (Liz & Tara) and you know what we did?!?!  We danced (via Just Dance 3 wii), oh my, what a BLAST we had...I LOVE to dance but the Lord had me shelve it for awhile, readjusting priorities, outlook, etc and just recently I feel like He's been allowing it back in my life.  Something about dancing makes me feel like I come alive...that and Pride & Prejudice, which we also did...a version of it (Bride & Prejudice).  BUT...I took the bus with the RGBI group (and S&S&J) down to Yuty on Monday, stayed the night with good friend Vonni and watched PRIDE & Prejudice on the big screen.

Pretty great birthday for 35 if you ask me (plus, it's an odd number, a quirk of mine...good year ahead?!?!)
