Spring in Paraguay

While most of you are enjoying fall colors and gearing up for winter it's spring here in Paraguay and what a beautiful time of year it is.  We have fruit literally falling off of the trees in our yard.  

We can't keep up with it all: grapefruit, oranges, mandarins, lemons, bananas...  And some wildlife begins to emerge again.  Can you find him in this picture?

That's right!  It's Mr. Toad.  He and his friends once again grace our porch with their presence each night, eating our bugs and leaving their droppings behind.

And this owl showed up in our lemon tree!  He was enjoying his nap too much to worry about all the kids checking him out.  You could see his chest rise and fall as he snored away.

But probably the most spectacular part about spring in Paraguay are the flowers!
