"Here I is!"

said Sammie today as she saw her picture disappear from the computer screen and return again.

And here we are. Surviving. We are hot, exhausted, exasperated and plain old worn out. We are going to do our best to try to not move like this again (meaning, in the Paraguayan summer with so many very small children running about) if we can help it. Now I am fully aware that it will never be exactly like this, the children will be a bit older, hopefully there won't be the "extra" emotional stress of something else going on like we have now. This is the first time we've gone through this but it isn't easy. But I can't pretend that everything is all "happy happy" around here. We have some exciting things happening like camps and retreats yet we are being stretched beyond our weak human physical capacities. God is for sure our strength right now.

Basically, the best time to pack is at night after the kids are in bed and it has started to finally cool down. But that means that I haven't had as much time to write or blog like I need to. Blogging has become such a great outlet for me to express myself and share our ministry and family with those interested. So I'm working on a balance between blogging, packing, and sometimes just sitting doing absolutely nothing (though that is actually hard for me to do too!) and sleeping every once in awhile.

This is me touching base for us the Houghs. Thanks for letting me share my thoughts and for praying and caring about our family.

  1. Wish I could be there to help you out...and I can safely say that Mom would agree. Mom would also probably yell at you and tell you to get some rest. I know it might be hard but you need to take time for yourself too (Dan included). Love you guys!

  2. Praying for you. We KNOW how you feel. Lying still under a fan would make so much more sense.

Your blog is great! Your design talents are shining!
