He's getting tall. At only nine he's already up to my chest.
He LOVES to read. Can sit and read an entire short chapter book in a day.
Serious. Intense. Feels very deeply. Sweet. Kind. Helpful.
Wonderful big brother! Loves his siblings. One of Judah's favorite words is "E I". JJ will run to show Eli something or ask for his help.
Incredible memory.
Super coordinated. Always has been. He got a rip stick for his birthday and he literally "rips" around the kitchen, front room, hallway, etc. It's fun to watch him. I guess that is one positive to having concrete floors. :)
Boy, can he eat sometimes too! I know, I know...it is just beginning!
Interesting to see his own sense of style starting to emerge. He's always been partcular about what he wears. What a handsome boy!
Enjoys LEGOS and playing games. Now that the kids are starting to get a bit older it is fun to be able to play card games and others with them.
Very strong sense of justice...right or wrong.
God is working in His heart. You can see the evidence.
It makes me a little nervous sometimes, the responsibility of helping to shepherd his heart.
The most important thing we pray for our children is that they have a heart for Jesus; listen to HIS voice and follow where HE wants them to go; glorifying God and being a light to others in a dark world. Learning to love and forgive and keep on going. Not growing weary in doing the right thing.
Oh how I love my firstborn. The one who first made me a mama. We are so proud of him.
Wow, nine years old, I remember when he was born. Congratulations to him and to mom and dad. Your influence on him shows in all those wonderful attributes that you describe, and what an adventurous life he has had, Continued prayers for all of you and your work there.
ReplyDeleteHe IS pretty special! Born before my wedding just so he could attend, my little bug, lol. ;) There's a reason he's the first and I can't wait to see what more life has in store for him.
