After the Everglades, Naples, another night at Sebring and a wonderful meeting in Haines City, we finally left Florida and headed to Georgia. There we visited a very dear friend of mine, Nicky.
I have known Nicky since we were born! Our moms grew up down the street from each other and although they've gone their separate ways various times throughout the years, they are still friends to this day. As a result Nicky and I grew up together, also going our separate ways throughout the years. When Nicky married Tim July 4th, 2004, Dan and I were invited to the wedding (me, 7 1/2 months pregnant with Eli!). After she and Tim married they moved to Georgia where a friend of theirs invited them to church. Praise God they are now our brother and sister in the Lord! Our friendship was immediately changed to a deep, more meaningful level. It is amazing that we can say we grew up together (and we have both decided that things in the past are better off left in the past b/c if you didn't know, I was not a Christian till high school and then not seriously walking with the Lord till after college).
Here are Becca and Tyler, Nicky's darling little twins at 4 1/2 months old. Constantly seeing adorable pictures of twins makes one start to want twins until time is actually spent observing the care of twins in person. I loved holding them and spending time with Nicky and boy, does she have her act together even with Tim away till May (he is in Special Ops). I so admire and love you Nicky! Thank you for the wonderful time spent together and for sharing your life with me.
