When God Makes You Laugh

Like today.
And last week.
Actually, a lot these days as the chaos and stress threaten to overwhelm us, we reach the point where something crazy happens and all we can do is laugh. Hysterically.
Like today.
We attempted to ALL go grocery shopping and run errands together around Villarrica. Kids travel great. Kids DO NOT shop so great. Between two of the tiniest grocery carts you've ever seen and four energetic children (well, Silas fell asleep) - wow! It was constant reminders to stay close, stop touching, stop screaming, don't cry, soap bars falling everywhere (I only wanted six!!), stacks of paper towels crashing (I am not THAT tall!), etc...you get the picture.
We survived and we laughed.

Last week after one of the LONG days of traipsing around Asuncion from office to office finalizing all the paperwork for our permanent visas, we were again ALL in the truck. The sun was shining after a rain storm the previous night. Dan had the driver's window down half way. Next thing I know a car goes by and SPLASH! Right through the window on Dan, Sammie behind him and all the way to Eli behind Sammie.
I laughed. REALLY laughed. It felt great.
Dan said, "sure you laughed because you didn't get wet."
Hey, what can I say?
When God makes you laugh, you laugh.
