2 Days Before Christmas...Looking Back

NOVEMBER 2012...
started with four out of five kids with high fevers.  It was not fun.
Lord, please help us feel better!
(I found him asleep like this one day)
But, the month got better, great in fact as my girl turned FIVE...

We had a wonderful day celebrating her life!!  We had gone to the city to welcome my mom, sister and nephew so first we had waffles for breakfast; went to McDonald's for lunch; went shopping where she got to pick out her gift... a sweet hot pink pet shop bunny (that she thinks is a puppy); then out for ice cream.  For dinner she requested US mac n' cheese (aka Kraft) which we can now find here!!  To conclude her fantastic fifth birthday we watched Tinker Bell.  She is sweet and sassy, my little sunshine!  She loves to play mommy with her dolls, all.day.long!  I love her innocense  A couple weeks later, while my mom and sis were here, we had a small girls' tea party and baked girly cookies together for her birthday.

It was so hot but she loved having her friend over to play with! That was actually the best part of the day for her :).

...And my mom, sister and nephew arrived for a two week visit!!  Oh happy day!  The kids were so excited to see them again!!

We returned to SF as soon as we could in order to do absolutely nothing together...no big travelling, just hanging out living life.  Wonderful!!

On the way back to the city we took them to see the camp property.

Handsome little boys!
Hard to believe that Viktor is only four months older than JJ.
I kept thinking he was closer to Si who is three!!
It was so much fun to see Viktor playing with all of his cousins.  Unfortunately he got really sick the second week and didn't have as much fun but that's OK.  He was a trooper and I loved having them all here.  It was sad to say goodbye.

We did A LOT of this as it was so hot!!

I miss you mom and Jess!!
We celebrated Thanksgiving at the Mckissicks.

Writing our Thanksgiving 2012 poster of all that we are thankful for this year!

Karen is reading a Thanksgiving story to get the Talent Show started.
We met Karen at RGBI and are excited to have her now here in PY!
Our field had been praying for someone like her for ten years. She is our home school/education coordinator.  She tries to get out to each of us once a month.  She usually brings a special project w/ her for the kids and is always willing to help us in any way that we need.  I have her do the special project, teach the boys to read music and play the recorder, and have her help with the youngest while I am schooling the older children.

Eli stood up in front of a crowd for the first time and recited a short poem.  I was so proud of him!!  This was a huge step for him.  And he played his first song on his guitar for mom and Jess too.

And...

I had the privilege of orchestrating a fun gender reveal for my teammate, Amy!!!  She is having her seventh and the last time someone on our team was pregnant she had wanted to do a cake revealing the gender.  We had decided that the next one to get pregnant would have to let us do something...so Amy couldn't refuse when it was her!!  Just baking a cake seemed too boring and not Sarahesgue enough for me so what did we do?  See for yourself below!  It was a blast and Amy and Jeff were totally, completely surprised, the best part of all!!  I LOVE surprising people (remember Jen?).

My super creative hubby couldn't be left out ;) and offered to write "fun" lyrics.  He also danced with me!!  It's not in this video but we started off w/ "Rock A Bye Baby".  I had handed out pink & blue balloons to a few others so while the intro music played we waved the balloons back & forth all sweet-like.  Then there was a record ripping sound, we stuck the balloons under our shirts and Dan and I did a little choreographed grooving till the lyrics started and he turned around and started mcing.  Oh my...have I said how much fun it was?!?!?!

What else?  Oh, not much except JUDAH STARTED WALKING!!!  I was really hoping he would while mom, Jess and V were here and he did.  Hip hip hooray!  Everything is different to him now at this "new" level.  (oops...it's sideways and I can't figure out how to turn it!)
