Starting this month off was the MK Adventure trip!!!
Click here to read more about it.
Our teammate's T.I.M.E. students arrived. If you're interested you can learn about that here. It was so much fun to be in the same town with this year's group of students. What a remarkable group of young adults! Dan, of course, got some AirSoft action in with them, they helped with youth group a bit and were just fun to be around. Although they were here for medical with the McKissicks, we benefited too.
RGBI group stayed with us for four days at the beginning of the month and helped distribute Audio Bibles. Read here to learn more about the Audio Bible project some of our team is doing.
It was so COLD when the RGBI group first came to stay with us and I barely had enough blankets and pillows for all five of them who were mostly sleeping on our concrete floors! They came a second time at the end of the month and it was a bit more pleasant. What a heart of servitude this group has! They loved on my children, helped me in the kitchen and were so pleasant to be around. They definitely got a good picture of "real" missionary life as I think their schedule changed numerous times!! There were put on buses at all times of the day, arriving at all times of the day and never knew exactly where they were sleeping or eating. And, I never heard them complain unless I just wasn't understanding!! If you're wondering what RGBI is, click here!
It was citrus season so for the first time ever I was suddenly overwhelmed with a ton of fruit to juice. I froze it but now, months later, it tastes watery. Still good if we double the amount we use for a pitcher. I'll have to figure out what I did wrong for the next time!
We ordered our first piece of pig from a kid who came to our gate.
Made the first fire in our new wood stove.
Continued on with home school.
| yes, this is blurry but I wanted to remember the concentration and E's fingers twisted in his hair and T looking on wanting to learn too. |
Met our new neighbors.
This was also my birthday month :). Dan made me his traditional ice cream cake.
