5 Days Before Christmas...Looking Back

AUGUST 2012 was a great month!!
(goodness it is hard narrowing down what pictures to put here!)
Judah turned one!!  Ahhhhh!!!

My #5, completing the Howdy Five.  Did you know that we now have all the vowels?  E - O - A - I - U.  Because we had the other four, JJ's name had to have a "U" in it.  I'm quirky like that.  It helped narrow it down.  If you're curious, the girl's name would've been Lucille (Lucy) after my grandma's middle name.  But he's not a she so back to my cutie pie!!!

Eli made this sweet sign for the door.
He ate great, wasn't quite sleeping through the night yet, creeped all over the floor in an army style crawl, laughed, said mama and made mama cry the day of his birthday.  I think its the norm now.  Every birthday I'm going to cry.  Be prepared children

I got light fixtures for my kitchen!  It's been fun adding our "touch".

Unfortunately we did say another goodbye this month to our videographer Jocky.  He had already extended his stay with our team and now it was time for him to return to Scotland.  What an amazing talent this guy has.  Check out our awesome video

Most of the team fits in my kitchen!
Yummy chocolate.  Turning one means turning around in the carseat too!  LOVE the look on his face, like, whoa! Am I going the right way?!?!

We found an owl sleeping in a tree in our yard. Very strange.

Our three year old started his potty training journey.  Man, it's hard work.  To try to prevent "accidents" we'd make him sit for awhile, just in case.  I guess he got too comfy!  Either that or we forgot about him.

Dan's been working on getting these two guys to take over worship for church.  He is seeing some great progress over the past few weeks.  (don't forget to read our ministry updates if you want to know more about what Dan is up to!)

And, we also said goodbye to our "town"mates.  Yes, the ones who called us and suggested we consider SF.  But it was God's plan, not ours, so they moved 15 minutes to the next town (which here is a LONG way when people walk everywhere).  God is doing an amazing work in this new town and Lord willing a church plant just like the one here in SF will start and thrive soon!

Kids had fun playing in the big pile of sand while we helped paint and construct various things.
